Tramadol is a generic version of Ultram. It is a synthetic analgesic drug which works like morphine. It brings relief by changing the way in which our body senses pain.

It is effective in bringing relief to moderate to moderately severe pain. It is available in an immediate and extended release form. The latter is usually prescribed to those patients who are suffering from some chronic problem and require long–term tramadol therapy.
